“I wanted to actually use my stump grinder before writing a review. Most of my stumps were less than 18 inches. And they had been there for years. I got tired of brush hog mowing over and around them. I wish I would’ve purchased one years ago. This grinder ate them up in 4-5 passes. I love this thing. Now I’m actually going around looking for stumps to grind out. I’m using it on a Kioti DK 6020 tractor.”

“The only negitive is FedEx. After 2 weeks lead on scheduling delivery they still did not deliver on time. Pluse they did not follow delivery instruction. So be aware of FedEx. The stump grinder does a great job. Have cut up 18 stumps so far. Your tractor needs a very low gear or you will ride the clutch. A duel case tractor would work great for a low gear. Outside of that, no issues at all. Great buy for the price.”

“I've ground about seven stumps, so far. Some were more of a beating than others, but this PTO attachment is SO much easier than other methods. I've already gotten my money out of this thing, but still have many more stumps to grind. I will say that grinding with this has a learning curve. It's hard to stay turned around and hit the stump correctly with each pass to keep from bouncing or bogging down my tractor. I only have a 24 hp tractor. The most difficult part of this was getting the PTO shaft to fit. After trying to force it in, I finally realized I needed to trim down the shaft. Once I did that, it went on easily and I have not removed it, yet. I'm getting lower quick hitches to make pick-up and removal easier. I think my wife has been more impressed than I am. She's been out there watching me grind them down and then sweeping away dirt, when I get down to the roots. She said she enjoys watching it work. It's funny, because she's not really an "outdoorsy" girl. Great product.”

“This grinder is a beast! Im using a 45hp TYM 474. Iwas skeptical on quality, but the whole grinder is made of thick steel. There is nothing flimsy. And every pivot point has a grease fitting. I have ground 19 stumps so far, and the biggest was 48" in diameter. I had a box blade on the back of my tractor and i needed to transport everything to my dad's house. I wasnt sure how to pick it up with the bucket, but it turned out that the holes on top are almost perfectly balanced (as seen in the picture). Another thing i did not know it had is a chainsaw holder. I haven't used it yet, but i did install it. My only gripe is that it took a little longer to ship it than the website said, but it was totally worth the wait. Almost every tool you need in order to assemble the few things not assembled are there in the tool holder. The only problem is some bolts with nuts are the same size, and you dont get 2 wrenches of the same size...so you will need an adjustable wrench or similar to hold one side while you tighten things up. I had 1 bolt that kept backing out for the pivot pin. I put some loc-tite on it and it seems to be good now. Lastly, i had low expectations of being able to reach a real person at mechmaxx, however they responded to every email i sent them. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and because of that, i am strongly considering getting the 9' backhoe in the near future! Thanks MechMaxx!”

“I have been more than pleased. I am amazed at the speed and ease of grinding stumps with my SG24. I have ground over 20 stumps and my grinder still looks and works like new. I am a very pleased customer. I have included a couple of pics of stump I just did today. The customer had cut the part of the tree down that was interfering with their fence so I ground the base of the tree back to the fence. “Very happy with the stump grinder on my Kioti CX2510. Delivery was quick and efficient. Email updates throughout delivery kept you informed. Soft wood will take bigger cuts and speeds up overall time. Fresh red oak takes smaller cuts but works excellent. Use the bagger on the lawn mower to pick up the chips. Even comes packaged in a nice crate. I chose to put castors on the base of the crate while grinder isn't in service. Would happily purchase again.”

“After considerable research my son and I decided to take a chance on this grinder. It shipped fast, came well packaged and virtually ready to use. Minimal assembly was needed, and the extra wrenches were a great addition. We did have to shorten the shaft using a band saw to make a nice, clean cut. After that it was easy to attach to the tractor. We have eliminated close to 12 stumps and it rocks. All good and I might add the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. “Pretty happy with this stump grinder. I was fairly skeptical but I thought for the price we'd give it a shot. I've ran through 40ish stumps so far of various wood species and sizes and it really does work well. The down side is the visability, you really can not see what you're doing so theres a learning curve there as it is some what by feel of the grinder and the tractor. “One of the best implements i have purchased for my farm. The stumps I had stopped a lot of my projects. After receiving my stump grinder in Oct, so far, i have been able to take out at least 40 stumps, ranging my 4" to 12". I have yet to take the huge 26" -30" stumps down but that will be attempted in the next few days. The only setback is line up the stumps with the grinder and turning my body around to grind it down. I fixed that issue by purchasing a separate wireless backup camera to watch the flywheel, once i got that, it was all homeruns. Their customer service is excellent and so is the quality of the implement. Most definitely 5 stars!”

“Shipping took forever, but the company was very responsive to the inquiries I made for revised delivery date. I was also able to get in touch with the delivery company to ensure my driver had my contact info so I could arrange to meet him out on the road with my tractor to pick up the item with pallet forks. Everything went smoothly and the item was very well packaged and protected. If I can find a use for that nice steel cage it came in, I will. As for setting up the grinder, it was a pretty straightforward process, only made difficult in my case because the output shaft on the grinder would NOT accept the PTO shaft. I had to take some time to sand the output shaft and remove enough material so that I could get the PTO shaft/slip clutch attached, and that required pounding away on the shaft end with a sledge hammer. It's on, and no way it's coming off easily now. I then had to file off the splayed material on the shaft end as a result of being hit with the sledge, in order to get the 2 shaft ends to slip together. Not a huge deal, but kind of a hassle. Then again for the price point, not unexpected. The tension on the slip clutch bolts doesn't differ much between PTO horsepower, so I don't think you need to be 'exact' when it comes to their recommended measurements. AS for using the grinder itself ... I'm impressed. Got all my stumps handled in short fashion ... the older ones were like a hot knife thru butter ... the stumps from this past Spring's firewood harvest took a little more time but since I'm only getting them just below ground level (for field mowing) it went quickly. This is all Scots Pine, and the biggest stumps are well under 24". Stumps that are narrower than the cutting wheel is wide can be gone through in one pass if they were cut low enough to the ground. For my needs, it's perfect. If I was doing this for a living, I'd go spend big bucks on a Vermeer. All in all, a good purchase.”
